As many as eight armed robbery suspects could still be on the run after a rash of hold-ups in Mobile. In less than 24-hours, police say 6 businesses were hit and a person was robbed at gunpoint outside a grocery store on Springhill Avenue. The crimes happened Sunday into early Monday morning. Police say they're alarmed by those numbers and they've stepped up patrols, "when we do have incidents of this nature occur we do have more patrols handling these areas and patrolling these areas looking and trying to deter this criminal activity," said Mobile Police Cpl. Charles Bagsby. Police say they're still investigating whether the crimes are related.
