If you think it's hot, imagine wearing a fur coat in this heat! Your pets could be in danger. A local vet says he's seeing an increase of pets coming in with hyperthermia which is over heating and burned paws from walking on the pavement. And, if you see Fido's tongue out, it's time to get him out of the sun, "especially if his tongue out and you see it swelling and he's really having a panting, a hard pant, that's heat exchange. So, he needs to, you need to go ahead and make sure that dog's got some cool water and some shade to stay inside, stay under, a dog that's acclimated to the temperature still needs shade," said Veterinarian Dr. Ken Jordan.
