The Escambia County Florida Sheriff's Office says they’ve captured an escaped inmate. According to deputies, 29-year old Scott Hagen was captured Saturday in Covington County, Alabama after deputies acted on a tip. He was taken into custody and is now awaiting extradition back to Florida.

Hagen, an inmate worker, walked away from the Escambia County Sheriff's Office garage where he was working Thursday afternon. A search was conducted and deputies say they found Hagen's jail clothing, they also discovered a pair of blue jeans were missing.

Hagen was originally jailed on a probation violation for possession of a controlled substance. But, he will now face Felony Escape charges.
