Food, Father's Day Treat, and Movies

One of the biggest expenses of having children is food.
You just about need a handful of cash before taking a family of four out to eat.
But, if you know where to go and when, the little ones can get their grub on for free.

"We're kind of word of mouth, on that. We don't advertise it", says Jack Webster, general manager of Moe's Southwest Grill. Kids 12 and under eat free from 11am to 9pm every Monday. "It's been real successful. We give away about 600 dollars in free meals on Monday", says Webster
For every adult meal, you can get two free kids meals. Dine in only.

Roussos Seafood in Daphne has the same deal on Tuesdays and Saturdays.

A special treat for dads with a sweet tooth on Father's Day. TCBY is offering a free cup or cone. TCBY serves up frozen yogurt at two locations in Mobile, and one in Gulf Shores.

How about a free movie for the entire family? The city of Pensacola is hosting free flicks this summer. June, 19th, The Tale of Despereaux will be shown downtown at the Palafox Pier at 8pm. The next free flick in downtown Pensacola is July 17th. The movies are put on by the Community Redevelopment Agency.

The city of Foley has the same idea. Next Thursday, June 25th, it's hosting Music and Movie in the park.
Music starts at 5:30 and the movie starts at dusk.


If you're looking for ways to keep the kids cool, Daphne has the answer.
Wet 'N' Wild Wednesday is June 24TH.
Large water slides, wading pools, and slip and slides will be set up at Lott Park in Daphne.
All children between the ages of two and 12 are welcome to come and play!
Of course it is free! It starts at 10 am and runs until 1pm.
