Drunk Driver Drags Man Under SUV

A Pensacola man is dragged nearly a quarter a of mile after being hit by a drunk driver.

It happened Wednesday night along Nine Mile Road near Pensacola.
Investigators say 25 year old Michael Steele was riding a bike to work, when 32 year old Christina Rivkin swerved over on to the shoulder in her SUV.
Florida State Troopers say the woman was drunk when she struck and killed Steele then left the scene.
About an hour later authorities say Rivkin came back to the scene and almost hit a deputy's patrol car.
"She was obviously impaired so she was arrested there on the scene. She was transported to Escambia County Jail and refused a breath test. But we do have blood that we drew per law on the scene and that's been sent off to be analyzed,"Said Lieutenant Steven Preston, Florida Highway Patrol.

Police say RIvkin is the wife of a deputy and that Florida state law prohibits releasing a mug shot of a law enforcement officer's spouse. State troopers say it will take about 6 weeks to get results of blood alcohol tests taken at the scene.
