Friends Hope It Never Happens To Another Woman

Friends of a woman killed in front of her family want to make sure what happened to her never happens to another woman. A black wreath hangs on the door of a Mobile business in memory of former employee Claire Alger-Young. Claire was shot to death Monday afternoon on Admiral Semmes Avenue in Tillmans Corner. Mobile Police say her ex-husband, Bryan Young, pulled the trigger then turned the gun on himself. Claire's co-workers are raising money in her honor for the Penelope House, a shelter for victims of domestic violence,"she's going to be truly missed as a friend, as a co-worker, as an integral part of our life and our business and I can't tell you enough about her, she's a beautiful, beautiful person," said Claire's friend, Jo Dunaway. Police say Bryan Young is expected to survive. Prosecutors say he will be charged with murder.
