Mobile Police are investigating an apparent murder and attempted suicide in Tillmans Corner.
It happened around one o'clock this afternoon at a house along Admiral Semmes Avenue. Investigators say 40 year old Bryan Young shot his ex-wife Claire Young multiple times, before turning the gun on himself. He was airlifted to U.S.A. Medical Center with a single gun shot wound.
Witnesses say the 37 year old woman died in front of her parents and two of her friends. One friend tells News Five the couple was on again-off again. Jo Dunaway says the woman was packing her things when her ex-husband pulled the trigger. "He had stolen her debit card had taken money out of her bank account over the weekend. It was just she knew that it was going to escalate to this and the last thing she said to me was, Jo he's going to kill me,"Said Dunaway.
Bryan Young remains hospitalized in serious condition. Police say the investigation is ongoing.
