Local members of the U.S. Coast Guard spent the morning giving back to some very special children.

A team of helicopter pilots showed off some of their moves during a visit to Camp Rap-A-Hope in West Mobile.
The Mobile Coast Guard called up the camp to plan the event as a surprise for the children.

The camp provides a week's worth of activities for children from 7 to 17 years old, who are battling cancer or have ever been diagnosed with it.
The crew let everyone climb aboard their choppers all for a good cause.
"This is just something that we would absolutely love to get involved in and support the kids for. It takes a lot of courage to get up in the day and do what we do, but they absolutely have more than us and it's nice to be able to give back,"Said Lieutenant Eric Wilson, with the U.S. Coast Guard.

Camp Rap-A-Hope is provided to the children for free. Organizers tell us the camp is funded by donations. If you would like to help out call 476-9880 for more information.
