Changes Wednesday in a lawsuit involving the Highway 98 construction project in Mobile County.
Commissioner Steve Nodine tells News 5 that a lawsuit filed by Mobile Area Water and Sewer and Mobile Baykeeper has changed.
A U.S. District Judge removed Baykeeper from the suit against the state department of transportation. The suit states the transportation department has not done enough to protect Mobile's drinking water source, which is Big Creek Lake.
ALDOT has been working on rerouting Highway 98.
A settlement may be on the table. No word on if MAWSS will accept it. News 5 will keep you posted.
