Police are trying to figure out why a Gulf Coast businessman shot and killed his wife before turning the gun on himself.
Wojciech "Al" Dobski, 60, and his wife Joanna, 50, were found dead Thursday morning in their home on Palisade Road in Pensacola.
Investigators believe the husband shot his wife, perhaps more than once, then shot himself in the head.
Joanna Dobski's body was discovered by her mother on a bed in the couple's home. Al Dobski was found in the living room with a handgun beside him.
Assistant Police Chief Chip Simmons says investigators did not find any notes or letters left behind.
Gary Fountain, who lives across the street from the couple, says he saw the couple walking their dog almost every day. "Other than that, they just spoke and pretty much kept to themselves," said Fountain.
Al Dobski owned House Care Painting on Fairfield Drive. Thursday afternoon, there was no one at the business, and an answering service was taking their calls. The woman who answered said she was not aware of the couple's deaths.
