Things Not Right On Morning Of Jackson's Death

Michael Jackson's personal chef recalls doctor's role, final days of King of Pop.

LOS ANGELES (AP) - Michael Jackson's personal chef is offering her take on what happened the day the pop superstar died.

Kai Chase tells The Associated Press her first hint that something was amiss the morning of June 25th was when Jackson's doctor didn't come downstairs to get Jackson's breakfast of juices and granola. Chase says she assumed Jackson was sleeping late.

Chase says around noon, as she was preparing lunch, Dr. Conrad Murray came running downstairs and screamed, "Go get Prince!" - referring to Jackson's oldest son.

Chase says as paramedics arrived, she, Jackson's three children, their nanny and a housekeeper held hands and began to pray.

Chase has cooked for other celebrities and comes from a show-business family. She was hired by Jackson in March, let go in May, then returned on June 2. She says the pop star's focus was on fresh, healthy food for him and the children.

She adds that she saw no sign that Jackson had been in failing health or was on drugs.
