BREAKING NEWS According to the Minnesota Star Tribune, the Mississippi native told Vikings coach Brad Childress he does not want to put himself through the grind of another football season.

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) - Minnesota Vikings coach Brad Childress tells
The Star Tribune that Brett Favre will not be coming out of
retirement.
In a report posted on the newspapers' Web site on Tuesday,
Childress said Favre did not want to put himself through the grind
of another football season.
Favre retired for a second time after playing for the New York
Jets last season. He had surgery in May to alleviate a torn biceps
tendon.
