The Grammy-Award winning band Train will perform in Mobile this fall at BayFest 2009.
Train, which has produced several top singles, including “Meet Virginia,” “Drops of Jupiter (Tell Me),” and “Calling All Angels,” will perform October 3 on the AT&T/IP Casino, Resort and Spa Stage before the already-announced Steve Miller Band.
BayFest has also added Mobile’s own Wet Willie to the lineup.Wet Willie hit it big with the hit “Keep On Smilin’,” which reached number 10 on the Billboard singles chart. The band followed up with a number of additional hits, including “Country Side of Life,” “Everything That ‘Cha Do (Will Come Back to You),” and “Leona.”
Train and Wet Willie join a growing list of artists that includes 3 Doors Down, Alan Jackson, Gary Allan, Billy Currington, James Otto, Ne-Yo, Akon, T-Pain and Steve Miller Band.
The 15th Annual BayFest Music Festival is October 2-4 in Downtown Mobile. Tickets will be available at bayfest.com beginning July 1. Three-day passes are $35. One-day passes are $25 and sold only at the gate. Children 12 and under are free if accompanied by a ticketed adult. Anyone who purchases a ticket at bayfest.com before September 1 will be automatically entered to win a meet and greet with an artist of their choice.
