With sunny skies and lower humidity, it was a good day for fishing. Dozens of recreational fishermen were casting their lines into mobile bay off the causeway. Fishermen were using different kinds of bait to lure in a good catch. The Sunday seamen were taking advantage of very comfortable weather to sit and find fish. Some were getting lucky, others, not so much.
“Fishing's pretty slow today, we've been out here fishing with some shrimp and we haven't caught anything yet,” says recreational fisherman Joe Carmichael. Joe's luck changed. He caught a flounder after my interview. The good weather meant people could stay out longer and enjoy the day.
