The family of Melanie and Byrd Billings says they're relieved the suspects accused of murdering their loved ones are in custody. Ashley Markham, the couple's daughter, spoke to reporters Wednesday in Pensacola. Markham says the family has been devastated by this tragedy. But, she says they will continue the Billings' work to help special needs children. The family says the Billings' 9 children, who were inside the home when their parents were shot to death, are well cared for, in a safe place, and will stay in the care of loved ones, "The Billings children are coping well. We have an incredible family and are more than capable of carrying through with the plans our parents had in place," said Markham. The Billings family says they've received an outpouring of support from across the country, because of that, they are setting up a trust for the children. They're currently working out the details of that trust with an attorney. We'll pass those details on to you once they're available.
