MORRISTOWN, Tenn. (AP) - A suspect in the slayings of a Florida
couple was convicted in an East Tennessee death in 1992.
According to documents from the Hamblen County Sheriff's
Department, William Coldiron and Terry Corbett argued on Dec. 13,
1992, at a home in Russellville. Corbett, who at first refused
hospital treatment after Coldiron notified authorities, later died.
According to WATE-TV in Knoxville, Coldiron later pleaded guilty
to an amended charge of criminally negligent homicide in Corbett's
death. He was sentenced to two years in the Hamblen County Jail.
Coldiron and six others are charged in the shooting deaths of a
wealthy Florida Panhandle couple known for adopting children with
special needs.
