“It promotes young people to want to be pilots to go into defense of our country and the Blue Angels have been over her for 50 years,” says lifelong fan Pat Worsnop.
She’s just one of the thousands of people crawling over Pensacola Beach to have a look at the show, she's been coming for years, others are new.
“Never seen the blue angels before, my wife has never been to Pensacola Beach before so we took a chance and we made it,” says Leonard Williams. He’s from Fairhope and braved the traffic to get here. For many, the trip to Pensacola Beach isn't just for fun, it's also a tradition
“My daddy was in the navy he was stationed here at NAS Pensacola and just grew up with it,” says Joshua Johnson. Among the thousands in attendance, some hope people go home today with a new appreciation for the military.
