Members of Eye of the Storm Relief will be at the Walmart at Dawes and Cottage Hill Road Saturday, collecting donations for hurricane victims. Their goal is to collect supplies before the season gets active. The group wants to be able to react quicker, once a storm actually hits.
The group will collect bottled water, canned goods, baby food, formula, diapers, dry rice and beans. You can also donate money that will be used to pay for fuel and rental trucks that will be used to deliver the items to areas after a storm.
The group will be at the Walmart from 10am until 6pm.
