Former Crimson Tide running back Shaun Alexander will make several appearances around south Mobile County throughout the week to promote an event Saturday night in Mobile.
Alexander and his wife Valerie will speak at Cottage Hill Baptist Church Saturday night at 6:00. The event is sponsored by Alma Bryant High School's Fellowship of Christian Athletes and the Shaun Alexander Foundation.
In order to help spread the word about Saturday's event, Alexander will make several public appearances. Most of them are free and the public is welcome at all of them.

Alexander played at Alabama from 1996-99. He was drafted 19th overall by the Seattle Seahawks in the 2000 NFL draft. Alexander played in Seattle for eight seasons. He was cut by the Washington Redskins last year after just 11 carries in 4 games.
