More than 20 missionaries from a local church just returned from Honduras. They found out about the political unrest there only hours before they left for their trip, but they decided to go anyway. Rife Stewart, who is the pastor of Jubilee Church in Daphne, says at no time did they ever feel in danger. He says their trip was peaceful and they were still able to provide medical care to people in need, "while we were there we didn't see any protests, of course, we were far away from the city, a lot of what you saw on television we never actually experienced any of that," said Stewart. Stewart and the other missionaries were providing medical care at a rural hospital in Northern Honduras. He says they plan to return next year to do more medical mission work.
