Mobile police have identified the officer who shot a man three times after he grabbed the officers taser and tried to use it.

Christopher Moye is on administrative leave pending the outcome of the investigation. Moye joined the force in August 2004 and is a member of the Traffic Safety Unit.

Moye stopped Ricky Lett, Jr. on Government Boulevard July 2. During the traffic stop, police say Lett got out and ran. During the foot chase, Moye fired his taser, but only one prong stuck in Lett. District Attorney John Tyson Jr. says Lett then pulled the prong out, grabbed the taser and pointed it at Moye who shot Lett three times.
