The bad economy and the sweltering heat are making it even more difficult for a local non-profit group to help those in need. The Executive Director of Mobile Community Action, an agency that helps low-income families with things like their utility bills says twice as many people are asking for help as compared to a year ago, "our phone time response is a very sensitive issue now because the increase in request for assistance," said Executive Director, Jimmy Knight.
