Obama's Former Pastor Invited To "Bloody Sunday"

Congressman Artur Davis is criticizing the choice saying including Rev. Jeremiah Wright to the march in Selma is inconsistent with its theme and with Obama'smessage of unity.

WASHINGTON (AP) - Alabama Democratic Rep. Artur Davis is
criticizing Selma organizers for inviting President Barack Obama's
former Chicago pastor, the Rev. Jeremiah Wright, to this year's
commemoration of the "Bloody Sunday" civil rights march.
Davis, a four-term congressman from Birmingham who chaired
Obama's Alabama campaign, said giving the pastor a prominent role
in the event is inconsistent with its theme and with Obama's
message of unity.
Wright's comments about whites and racism in America sparked
outrage during last year's campaign, and Obama ultimately
criticized the preacher's rhetoric as divisive.
Organizers announced this week that Wright would be invited to
the march, which in the past has drawn political headliners such as
Obama and former President Bill Clinton. It was not confirmed that
Wright would attend.
