FRANKFORT, Ky. (AP) - University of Florida Gators quarterback
Tim Tebow is the inspiration behind a bill being considered in the
heart of Kentucky Wildcats country.
Tebow was home-schooled but played football at a Florida public
school. Kentucky State Sen. Jack Westwood is using Tebow's story to
push a bill that would allow Kentucky's home-schooled pupils to
play sports at public high schools.
Westwood told the Lexington Herald-Leader he's optimistic
Tebow's popularity could help the proposal before the Kentucky
General Assembly. The newspaper reports there are 12,875
home-schooled pupils in Kentucky.
