A long standing Mobile football stadium is about to get a facelift.
A three phase renovation project will begin at Ladd Peebles Stadium next month.
It's part of the City of Mobile's two and a half million dollar Capital Improvement Project.
Officials say the improvements include, 11 sky boxes, widening of the stadium's sideline and a fresh coat of paint on the stadium's exterior.
"The NFL they come in and tell the Senior Bowl these are some of the things that need to get done at your stadium. Several years ago when we spent a lot of money renovating it we stood to lose the Senior Bowl because it was run down. So we want to keep it up,"Said Reggie Copeland, a Mobile City Councilman.
City officials say the project should be complete by the end of summer.
