NEW YORK (AP) - About 250 employees have been evacuated from the
newsroom and executive offices of the Wall Street Journal in New
York.
Police evacuated the offices after about a dozen envelopes
containing a white powder were received.
At least four of them were opened. The others were left unopened
in the mailroom.
The FBI says five employees are being decontaminated as a
precaution.
According to a spokeswoman for the newspaper, the mail was
addressed to several executives. The postmark was Knoxville, Tenn.,
but each letter had a different return address.
Authorities are trying to determine what the powder is.
