MELBOURNE, Fla. (AP) - Time is running out for school children
who want to help NASA name its next robotic Mars explorer.
Students age 5 to 18 are being asked to submit a name for the Mars Science Laboratory and write an essay explaining their choice. The contest's deadline is midnight Sunday.
Members of the public will have a chance to weigh in after nine
finalists are selected. A winner will be announced in April.
The rover is scheduled to launch in 2011.
