A former NFL player who broke down racial barriers talks to News Five about the Presidential inauguration.

Having made some great strides as a Black athlete, former Washington Redskin Doug Williams says as the nation elects its first Black President the country will do the same.
"What I was able to do in football, he's able to do in politics. We know that his [job] is bigger because he's involved in more than just America,"Said Williams.
Like President elect Barack Obama, Williams broke a racial barrier of his own. The former football player became the first NFL Quarterback to lead a pro team to the Super Bowl and win.
While Williams is proud to see Obama become President, he says this historic recognition isn't just about race.
"If we had to depend on just the Black vote he wouldn't be President so it tells you that more than the Black population thought that he was the guy that should lead this country," said Williams.
Doug Williams also won MVP the same year he led the Redskins to the Super Bowl (1988).
He has since gone off to coach college football and is now a scout for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
