A seven year-old boy is recovering from severe burns after a gasoline explosion. It happened this afternoon in the 11,000 block of Tanner Williams Road at the Whispering Pine Trailer Park. Authorities say a group of kids was starting a fire in a garbage pit outside this trailer. The fire chief says some of them began taking turns splashing the fire with gasoline. That's when the fuel exploded. Authorities say a seven year-old boy sustained 2nd degree burns to almost 60% of his body. He was flown by helicopter to USA Medical Center in Stable Condition. Two other adults got lesser burns trying to put the fire out. The incident is still under investigation by the Mobile County Sheriff's Department.
