MOBILE, Ala. (AP) - A former assistant baseball coach at the
University of South Alabama faces a theft charge after campus
police charged with him with stealing artificial turf.
Ron Pelletier booked into Metro Jail Thursday afternoon. Police
said he was charged with first-degree theft.
Pelletier, a former baseball star at the school, allegedly took
sections of artificial grass that had been donated by an arena
football team when it disbanded.
He was released on $7,500 bond.
