An Atlanta-based air salvage and recovery company pulled what's left of Marcus Schrenker plane from a swampy area in Santa Rosa County east of Milton Wednesday. A helicopter using a cable and winch system pulled up the remains of the plane, piece by piece. After three fly-overs, the fuselage and the wings were recovered.

People living near the crash site grabbed their video cameras and captured all the action.

"This doesn't happen too often," says Mike McCombs who lives about 100 yards from the crash site. "It was a close call, we were lucky it didn't crash into our house."

The air recovery team loaded the plane wreckage onto a flatbed truck then temporarily moved it to a hangar at a local airport before being released to federal authorities. The plane was then shipped to Atlanta while the bizarre, Schrenker investigation continues.
