Say Cheese! Burglar Catches Himself On Camera

Mobile police have a new story for America's Dumbest Criminals.

Take a look at the picture on the right. Police say that's the face of a man wanted for a string of car break-ins throughout the city. Would you believe, the suspect took the picture with a camera he stole from a car and then left the camera behind.

Police found the camera and several other stolen items around 4 o'clock Saturday morning in an abandoned Ford Explorer on Brawood Drive off Springhill Avenue. They say the suspect took a picture of himself and a female companion. Police have not been able to retrieve the photo of the woman.

Police have linked the camera and the other stolen items found inside the SUV to a recent rash of car burglaries.
