Pediatrician Charged With Raping A Patient

Bond has been set at $1 million for 63-year-old Michael Roy Sharpe. He's charged with raping a patient under the age of 16 and possession of child pornography.

ALBERTVILLE, Ala. (AP) - Bond has been set at $1 million for
63-year-old Michael Roy Sharpe, an Albertville pediatrician charged
with raping a patient under the age of 16.
The Marshall County Sheriff's Department says investigators
arrested the doctor Wednesday night in Birmingham. Charges against
Sharpe include second-degree rape, second-degree sodomy and
possession of child pornography.
He remained in the Marshall County jail on Thursday. It was not
immediately known if he had an attorney.
Sheriff's officials said Sharpe operated Child Life Pediatrics
on Alabama Highway 205 in Albertville.
