Chaos At Apartment Death Scene

Update 6:20pm: A Mobile Police Public Information Officer tells News 5 they do not suspect foul play in their investigation into this death.

Mobile Police are investigating a death at Village Green Apartments. Shortly afternoon Noon, police responded to reports of a body inside an apartment. While they confirm a body was found inside, Capt. John Barber tells News 5 they are still determining how the man died and whether foul play is involved. Police have not released the victim's name.

While News 5 was on the scene, several scuffles broke out between police and bystanders. People who were visibly upset tried to enter the apartment. They were kept outside by police. Several had to be physically restrained. Barber says one person was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct and resisting arrest. Several other people were detained, but later released.
