WAMPUM, Pa. (AP) - A western Pennsylvania boy has been charged
in the shotgun death of his father's pregnant girlfriend.
Lawrence County District Attorney John Bongivengo
(bahn-jih-VEHN'-goh) says 11-year-old Jordan Brown has been charged
as an adult in the shooting death of Kenzie Marie Houk, who was
eight months pregnant. He's also charged with criminal homicide of
an unborn child.
Brown is the son of Houk's live-in boyfriend.
Police said Houk's four-year-old daughter found her mother's
body yesterday morning in a bedroom of their home in a wooded area
in the community of Wampum, about 35 miles northwest of Pittsburgh.
According to the DA, Houk's other daughter, who is seven, later
told police that Brown had killed her mother.
A preliminary hearing is set for Thursday.
