The event was today at the Pet Smart in Spanish Fort. A lot of cats and dogs were looking for a good home this weekend. Baldwin County Animal Rescue Center or BARC held a pet adoption today in Spanish Fort. Among the canines and felines was one very special dog.
A three legged dog named sandy was also up for adoption. We featured her story earlier in the week. Organizers say they're having a big challenge placing dogs and cats.
“We've been struggling lately with adoptions, we have so many animals in need of good homes and it's hard because there aren't a lot of families looking for loving adoptable pets,” says BARC member Brooke Steed. Organizers say they want to have as many pets adopted as they can.
