In February 2006, Florida Eash was playing a $5 Double Top Dollar slot machine at the Imperial Palace Casino and hit a winning combination.

The electronic window on the machines say she won a million dollars but employees quickly pointed out that the maximum payout on the game is only $8000.
Scott Andress is a lawyer for the IP Casino and admits the electronic display was a mistake. "The machine was set up following the mad rush to re-open after Hurricane Katrina. It was mis-programmed during the set-up on the casino floor."

Andress says the machine is clearly marked and Eash should have paid attention to what she was playing. "There was no other signage around that indicated that she could win anymore than 8-thousand dollars on that machine."

Eash wouldn't accept the 8k and the case went before the Mississippi Gaming Commission. The Commission agreed that the casino should pay Eash the million dollar jackpot. In turn, the IP casino filed suit and the case went to the Circuit Court of Harrison County. The judge ruled in favor of the casino and Eash appealed. Recently, the Mississippi Supreme Court heard the case and ruled in favor of the casino as well.

Eash still believes the million dollar jackpot is hers. "I want what I won! "She is not sure what her options are but plans to roll the dice anyway.
