INDIANAPOLIS (AP) - The estranged wife of an indicted Indiana
money manager says she and her husband were happy until he began an
affair and started to change.
Michelle Schrenker spoke on NBC's "Today" show this morning.
She said she's depending on friends to help her support her family
after a judge last week froze her assets and placed them into
receivership.
Marcus Schrenker has been jailed in northwest Florida since his
arrest Jan. 13, two days after authorities say say he parachuted
from his airplane and left it pilotless over Alabama in a bid to
fake his death to escape mounting business and personal problems.
He has pleaded not guilty to charges of deliberately crashing
the aircraft and making a false distress call.
Michelle Schrenker said her husband led a double life.
Her attorney, Mary Schmid, has said she will appeal last week's
ruling to place Michelle Schrenker's assets into receivership.
