FLOMATON, Ala. (AP) - Investigators say a Flomaton High School's
football star faces sex charges for an incident involving a 12-year-old girl.
Officers detained 18-year-old Tony Ellis shortly after school
Tuesday.
Escambia County Sheriff Grover Smith said Ellis was charged with
enticing a minor for immoral purposes, sodomy and sexual abuse.
He was released from custody on $150,000 bond.
Ellis, a star running back, was indicted by a grand jury last
week.
Flomaton head football coach Doug Vickery declined to comment
Tuesday. Messages left for Smith and Vickery were not immediately
returned Wednesday.
