The Mobile County Sheriff's Flotilla is set to resume its search Tuesday morning for a missing crab fisherman. The Coast Guard said Son Phane Saunankhan was reported missing by his family when he didn't return to the Fowl River Marina by 3 pm Monday. Coast Guard officials said the missing man was crabbing along the shore of Mobile Bay and a Coast Guard helicopter and vessel spotted his empty fishing boat near Gaillard Island. One man who lives in the area said water on the bay was rough Monday. Kevin Brehm said his father was out in a boat and told him, "The water was coming over the bow when they were coming back from Dog River today." When asked if that's a dangerous situation when the waves get that high, Brehm said, "When it gets about that high, for a small craft advisory, you don't need to be out there." Saunankhan was last seen wearing a black shirt, black pants and white boots. He's 5'2 and about 40 years old. The Coast Guard is asking for anyone with information on the search to call them at 441-6211.
