A tobacco shop at the flea market went up in flames today.

Firefighters in Summerdale were busy this afternoon battling a blaze at the flea market on Highway 59 in Summerdale. Emergency crew got the call just after 3:00 this afternoon. When the arrived on the scene, smoke was pouring from the Tobacco Shop. Police Officers and EMTs were also on standby. The store had just closed for the day when the fire broke out. No one was injured but the business was severely damaged. The owner, Virginia Pruitt says she doesn't have content insurance. Investigators say the fire appeared to have started in a trash can near the store's register.
