As a family continues to grieve the loss of three young children who died last month in a house fire, a community came together Saturday to lend them a helping hand. 9-year-old Christy Nelson, 11-year-old David Nelson, and 11-year-old Colton Mosley were killed when a fire spread through the house while they were asleep upstairs. The Nelson family lost everything in the fire, and didn't have insurance. That's why hundreds of people gathered in the Charity Chapel community of North Mobile County Saturday for a fundraiser in their honor. There were BBQ plate sales, music, an auction and an outpouring of support, "even family, close family members that haven't spoke for years this has brought them together," said family member, Renee Nelson. Saturday's benefit raised more than 20-thousand dollars for the Nelson family. If you couldn't make it to the fundraiser Saturday, it's not too late to help. An account has been set up for the family at Regions Bank.
