For a girl newly confined to a wheelchair, Megan's in pretty good spirits. She was at home today playing with her dog and hanging out with family. Megan's spent the last few weeks recovering at UAB Medical Center in Birmingham. She returned home yesterday to find decorations and welcome home banners covering the front of her house. Megan says she just wants things back to normal. Megan, her sister Jessica and another friend were hit by a car along Pope Street New Year's eve. Everybody's happy to have her back.
“I'm always used to her being in my room playing and being on the computer so it wasn't the same without her,” says Megan’s sister Jessica. Megan may not walk again. She and the family have adjustments to make.
“We're going to have to re-do one of the bathrooms, have to add a few ramps in the house that's got a little two inch step we're going to have to put a ramp up to get in and out,” says Megan’s father Rodney. The Busch's have set up funds at United and Regions banks to help with medical bills.
