Funeral Plans Set For Former AL Governor

BOAZ, Ala. (AP) - Funeral arrangements for the late Alabama Gov.
Guy Hunt will take place over three days next week, culminating
with an official state funeral Thursday.
Viewing of Hunt's body will be from 8 a.m. Tuesday through 8
a.m. Wednesday at Mount Vernon Primitive Baptist Church on state
Highway 69 between Cullman and Baileyton where Hunt served as
pastor of the church.
A memorial service for family, friends and church members will
be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the Bevill Center at Snead State
Community College in Boaz. After the memorial service, viewing will
continue until 11 a.m. Thursday, when the official state funeral
service will be held in the Bevill Center.
Burial will follow in Mount Vernon cemetery.
Hunt died Friday in Birmingham. He was 75.
