Plenty of people flying in and out of Mobile have heard about new security measures at airports.
But are they causing bigger delays?
One passenger flying into Mobile from New York City said she only waited in line about ten minutes in New York.
Jane Moore flew out of Des Moines, Iowa and said she only waited in line about 15 minutes with whatever the heightened security procedures there might have been.
When asked if she was glad about the extra security, Moore said, "Yes, yes, I am, for the safety for the people, and it seems things went very smoothly."
A ten minute wait in line seemed about average.
And nobody we talked to said they noticed any difference in security or delays.
Tracy Weaver was flying into Mobile from Kansas City.
He said, "We really haven't seen much of an increase in Kansas City. Kansas City has normally been pretty good from the get-go, so we really haven't seen any changes lately."
People we talked to flying out of Mobile didn't seem to worry about possible delays in other parts of the country.
James Willis said, "I don't care how long it takes me to check my bags. It doesn't matter to me."
Will Meeks from New York City said he knows how to make long lines easier to deal with.
He said he takes "just one bag, and never check anything."
Debra Goddard from Mobile had the longest wait of anyone we talked to: 20 minutes out of Indianapolis.
When asked how she felt about the extra security measures, she said, "As far as safety, I'm all for it, but sometimes it is frustrating and its real aggravating when you think that these people (terrorists) have them (security officials) impose all those restrictions on us because of their actions."
