Today marks three weeks since two hunters went missing in north Baldwin County. A few boats were in the water today along with air support from Wind Creek Casino. North Baldwin County Search and Rescue officials say they've been getting excellent help from the gaming facility blimp for the last three weeks. Its ability to fly low and steady is a great search tool. So far no one's seen any new signs of Jason Brown and Alan Clemons since their paddles were discovered in the first week of the search. Rescue officials say searches don't usually take this long.
“[It is] extremely unusual that we're in to 21 days, three weeks, with this search and that's very frustrating to us we really want to bring this to a close for the family,” says North Baldwin Search and Rescue Public Information Officer Matt Burton. Burton says this has been one of the longest, if not the longest, search ever conducted by North Baldwin Search and Rescue. He says the longer the search goes on the less manpower they’ll have at their disposal. Burton says the Christmas holiday has meant fewer volunteers searching.
