There was devastating damage in Flomaton Tuesday night. The Flomaton Volunteer Fire Chief says more than a dozen people had to be rescued from their flooded homes,"really wasn't expecting to get flooded at all and you know at 5 o'clock this morning it started hitting us and we was all shocked," said Chief Steve Stanton. Stanton also tells News 5 some businesses were damaged too. Neighbors were under a curfew from 6 Tuesday night until 6 Wednesday morning to protect them from flooded roads.
