He's beat the system five times, according to prosecutors, but this time a 64 year old drunk driver is headed to prison.
Leon Smith was convicted of murder Thursday for killing a man on a motorcycle.
Prosecutors say Smith's blood alcohol level was .365, more than four times over the legal limit, when he got behind the wheel of his car and crashed into Christopher Willis, 20.
The crash happened in September 2008 on Hillcrest Road.
"I haven't allowed myself to think anything for year," says Christopher's mom, Wendy, who said she was relieved by the verdict. "I get to go home and just collapse."
Smith, who prosecutors say had at least five prior DUI arrests but no convictions, will be sentenced in February. In the meantime, he is on 24-hour house arrest.
Smith faces ten years to life in prison.
