LOS ANGELES (AP) - Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger is urging
residents who live near the massive Los Angeles-area wildfire to
listen to authorities and evacuate if ordered.
At a news conference Sunday at the fire command post, the
governor said three people were burned Saturday when they ignored
evacuation orders. The extent of their injuries is unclear.
Schwarzenegger says at least 6,600 homes have been evacuated
from communities near the four-day-old fire burning in canyons and
hillsides of the San Gabriel Mountains north of Los Angeles.
He says four evacuation centers have been set up, with more to
come.
