Week one of the high school football season wound up Saturday night at Ladd-Peebles Stadium.

The Blount Leopards took on the Leflore Rattlers. Picking up the action in the second quarter, Blount quarterback Mike ward with the toss to Calvin Davidson and the touchdown. The point after would be blocked and the leopards go up 6 nothing. Leflore would later tie the game, but Blount would come up with a late score and win it with a final of 12 - 6.
